Happy Father's Day

He encourages him to be cautious but adventurous too.

He tells him how to use a congeera, greet a friend, work a screw driver, and peddle a cycle.

He helps me be firm when I want to be too easy, and he helps me stay calm when I didn't know I could.

He tells our son that he's special and valuable, and he puts on his chappal to take him out to play.

He mysteriously shows up at the perfect moment with a hug, or a smile, or a comforting word, and he knows how to calm us all down at just the right moment when we're about to lose control.

He handles all the trash, lawn work, and car maintainance.

He loves and prays and quiets and scolds and laughs and pushes and pulls with a courage and will that is the bedrock to the rest of us.

Happy Father's Day to the far better half of this team, the man who is, my best friend and my hero.
