Pulling Up to a "Semi-Standing" position

Yesterday he started doing this. It doesn't matter where I put him, he will always crawl over to something and try to pull himself up to "stand." Sometimes he is successful and sometimes not. I'm having to be extra watchful because sometimes he'll get half way up and then fall down and bump his head if we're not careful.
